Batches 1977 and 1987 Donations

Batches 1977 and 1987, in coordination with the CCNSHS Alumni Foundation, Inc., donated sports equipment and an LCD projector with tripod screen to the Cebu City National Science High School recently.

Batch 1977, represented by Alumni Foundation treasurer and incoming vice-president Elisa Estenzo-Torres and Catherine Villarta-Delantar, as well as Alumni Foundation president Vinci L. Urgel turned over sports equipment worth over P60,000 to new CCNSHS principal Marites Patiño on July 6, 2012. Mrs. Patiño, in response, presented Batch 1977 with a Certificate of Appreciation.

The sports equipment were painstakingly organized by Gualberto Gopo of Batch 1977 (son of Mrs. Bernardita Gopo), who is an engineer at Siemens in Atlanta, Georgia. The helmets, caps, bats, balls, chest/face protectors and shin guards were each dedicated to a member of Batch 1977.

Batch 1987, meanwhile, turned over an LCD projector and tripod screen to Mrs. Patiño last September. Batch 1987 will also host this year’s Grand Alumni Homecoming, set for December 29, 2012 at the Grand Convention Center.
